Every scent tells a story. StoryGlow began with one of mine.

I’m Sarah Nichols, owner and creator of StoryGlow Candle Co., and this entire journey started because I was trying to bring one of my favorite memories home.

There is a resort at one of my favorite theme park destinations with a scent I absolutely love. Walking into the lobby and smelling it instantly feels like being back in a place filled with some of my favorite memories. I wanted to recreate that feeling at home, but nothing I found was quite right. Some versions smelled too artificial. Others were too sweet or heavy on vanilla. They reminded me of the scent, but they didn't take me back there.

Eventually, I decided that if I couldn't find it, I would learn how to create it myself.

I began teaching myself everything I could about fragrance oils, scent blending, candle making, and home fragrance. What started as a mission to recreate one very specific scent quickly became something much bigger. I realized how powerfully fragrance connects us to the places, people, experiences, and moments that make up our lives.

That idea became StoryGlow Candle Co.

StoryGlow was created around a simple belief: the scents we love are part of the stories we live.

Our Adventure Collection captures the feeling of places and experiences you never quite want to leave behind. A favorite resort. An unforgettable attraction. A walk down a familiar street. Those little moments from a vacation that somehow stay with you long after you've unpacked your suitcase.

Our Everyday Chapters Collection celebrates the quieter stories happening all around us. A clean home. A slow morning. A relaxing rest. A burst of energy when you need it most. A peaceful evening when it's finally time to decompress.

Today, StoryGlow has grown to include 13 scents in our Adventure Collection and 13 scents in our Everyday Chapters Collection. And after all that growth, the scent that inspired StoryGlow in the first place is still our most popular.

There is something incredibly meaningful about that.

Creating fragrances has become one of my favorite parts of StoryGlow, especially when I'm trying to capture the memory of a particular resort, location, or experience. I love breaking down what makes a place smell the way we remember it, blending and adjusting until it feels right, and then watching someone smell it and immediately recognize where it takes them.

Because that's what StoryGlow is really about.

It's not just about making something smell good. It's about creating a scent that takes you somewhere.

We also care deeply about what goes into the products that carry those memories. Our wax melts are currently made with a coconut-soy wax that has an amazing performance without a flame, while our candles use a paraffin-soy blend selected for its fragrance performance when lit. We are actively testing more environmentally conscious candle-wax alternatives, with the goal of transitioning once we find one that provides the scent experience our customers expect and passes our testing for safe, reliable performance.
